Year 3. Session 7. Week 1.
The Eagles returned to the studio to find that many of their systems had been removed. As an experiment for this session, the Eagles will no longer utilize their Hero Buck system, the Freedom and Responsibilities Board, and their outdoor board. Instead, they will focus on reintroducing and creating systems that work best for them.
The Eagles were introduced to a new program called Prodigy Math. This program quickly took over most of their Core Skills time as the Eagles could not get enough of this game like program.
For Writers’ Workshop and World Word this session, the Eagles will be creating a Year in Review Yearbook where they document the important moments of the school year. Each day the Eagles will complete portions of their Year in Review book while revisiting the different styles of writing they’ve practiced throughout the year. This week, the Eagles focused on themselves as they documented their hobbies, interests, and so much more in the first few pages of their yearbooks.
This session’s Growing Curiosity Quest is led by the 5th year Eagles! Each week a different Eagle has chosen a topic they feel is important to discuss with the tribe. They then lead discussions and launch activities to engage their tribe members. This week’s topic was “History Mystery” where the Eagles researched historic mysteries and presented their findings in a slideshow.
Stay tuned to see what fun themes the Eagles participate in. Friday was Crazy Hair Day!
