Year 3. Session 6. Week 6.

This week was all about getting ready for Exhibition and Expedition!

All week, the Eagles prepped and planned for their Exhibition of learning where they exhibit their work from the past 6 weeks to friends and family. Exhibition guests first took a tour through the Orchard as they listened to music created and played by the Eagles on their instruments made of recycled materials. Guests then explored inside the studio where the Coding and Robotics Quest was the main attraction. Families and friends watched as the Eagles demonstrated their coding skills by programming their robots to dance, create art, navigate obstacle courses, escape mazes, and play soccer!

All session the Eagles have been working on different challenges to prepare themselves to earn their Rock Climbing badges. Those who completed all of the needed challenges earned an opportunity to join the Expedition School on a rock climbing trip. Before climbing, the Eagles explored the nature and vegetation around Reimers Ranch. After watching a few critters and butterflies, the Eagles made seed balls to help support the diminishing butterfly population. Then the Eagles scaled limestone to get to their climbing site. Once at their location, they put the skills they had practiced to the test as they tied knots, belayed, and climbed up a real rock wall!
