Year 3. Session 2 Recap.

For session 2, the Eagles launched into their much anticipated E-Ship Quest! The studio has been transformed into Ascent Launchpad, a startup incubator to help the Eagles get their big ideas off the ground! In addition to decorating their rocket game piece, the Eagles began exercises to help them brainstorm what kind of business would best utilize their unique gifts. Guest speaker, Ms. Rebecca came to share her hero’s journey as an entrepreneur. The Eagles had plenty of questions for Ms. Rebecca as their very own Artisan Quest was developed by her and her art business.

For session two’s Writers’ Workshop, the Eagles sharpened their persuasion skills as they practiced writing pitches. They constructed pitches both as a group and individually to persuade the guides to provide more free time and persuade each other what new equipment should be purchased for the studio.

Even when outside of the studio, the Eagles continued their pitch practice. They created video pitches for the best restaurant in Austin and for what game the studio could play together.

Whether in studio or at home, the Eagles were able to connect with each other and continue their progress. From core skills challenges to nature walks and mindfulness breaks, the Eagles practiced being resourceful as they used all the tools available online and at home to keep up their momentum.

The Eagles had the opportunity to start their session in the field with the Expedition School! Their Expedition School guides helped the Eagles explore around Lady Bird Lake as they learned about outdoor safety and how to care for our Earth. The Eagles strengthened their tribe through a variety of challenges including, trust guiding, raft building, and kayaking.

As more Eagles returned to the studio, they continued to support one another in preparing for the Children’s Business Fair.
