Explore Year 6. Session 7. Week 2.

Week 2 of Session 7 was all about reflection, discovery, and pushing boundaries. From analyzing experiments to capturing favorite memories and conquering creekside challenges, the Heroes in Explore continued to grow in courage, creativity, and curiosity.

QUEST

The Explore biologists reached a major milestone in their scientific journey—completing the testing phase of their experiments! With data in hand, they dove into analysis, writing thoughtful conclusions and reflecting on what their results revealed. Some Heroes were surprised to find their hypotheses were incorrect—and rather than being discouraged, they shared the new questions that emerged from their discoveries. As Curiosity Con approaches, Explorers began constructing their creative and immersive displays to present their findings. Their goal? To make guests feel like they’ve stepped right into their lab!

ART

In Art, Explore learners joined Discovery learners to continue this session’s theme of self-reflection. After last week’s portraits of transformation, this week invited them to capture a favorite memory from the school year using pastels. Their drawings were rich with color, emotion, and personal meaning, offering a visual time capsule of the moments that mattered most.

FRIDAY OUTING

For Friday’s outing, Explorers headed to Bull Creek for a refreshing and adventurous day in nature. Explorers cheered each other on as they faced their fears—whether it was leaping into the water or scaling sun-soaked boulders.

From scientific discovery to personal reflection to bold exploration, Week 2 was full of growth and momentum.
