Explore Year 6. Session 7. Week 1.

The first week of Session 7 was all about taking ownership, working together, and reflecting on how far they’ve come.

QUEST

Explorers officially launched their biology experiments this week! Each learner began by carefully writing down their procedures and identifying the variables they would test. Then came the exciting part—hands-on testing.

As they added variables and observed what happened, learners diligently recorded their findings in scientific journals, documenting every change, surprise, and pattern they noticed.

WORK CYCLE

There was a noticeable shift in the studio as Explorers stepped into work cycle this week. They found flow, diving into their goals with focus and determination. The Heroes in Explore set Big Session Goals that they feel proud to work towards, and turned to one another for support and collaboration.

ART

This week, Explore and Discovery learners came together for a reflective art challenge. The prompt:
“How did you feel at the beginning of the year, and how do you feel now?”

With paints and pencils, learners creatively expressed how they saw themselves at the beginning of this year and how they see themselves now. Some drew drew the badges they’ve earned this year, others illustrated quiet scenes of inner change.

Week 1 of Session 7 set the tone for a powerful finish to the year. Whether testing a hypothesis, pushing through a tough work challenge, or reflecting on growth, Explorers showed up ready to lead, learn, and leave a lasting impact.
