Discoverers looked to the future this week as they started to plan for and anticipate this Session’s Exhibition. They also began to practice with Hero Bucks, which are a Studio-wide system of accountability. Discoverers internationally practiced and voted on potential lines of their Studio Contract, which they are over half-way to completing!
In the Studio
Discoverers showed intentionality and excellence in their Studio work time. They continued their experience as poets, this week working on nursery rhymes. In Art, they worked to capture on paper the freedoms and challenges they hope to experience this year in Discovery Mountain. In Work Cycle, learners showed strong collaboration skills, ability to get into flow, and curiosity as they pursued their goals.
Outside the Studio
Learners have been spending time outside every morning, either in PD, where they are working on their volleyball skills, or in a community outdoor game. This week in PD, Discoverers put their practice into action as they started playing their first games of volleyball! In their outdoor games, learners showed good sportsmanship, quick communication, and joy, as they played games like Capture the Flag, Kick the Can, and Freeze Tag.
